Interior designer Toma invites you to check on her another rebuild. When designing this room, she imagined a small apartment in the countryside for a 65-year-old Lithuanian teacher who lives there.

Office in the bedroom
As this teacher leads lessons from home during the pandemic, her bedroom works as a home office as well. This work spot takes up very little space but has everything to make the working hours easy and comfortable: a desk with a TERJE chair that can be folded, a SKURUP clamp spotlight that gives a clear overview, a wall shelf for books, and a SVENSÅS memo board for notes.
A place for everything
As this woman lives alone, she doesn’t need a lot of storage. A standard free-standing wardrobe, a chest of drawers, and some lovely boxes are more than enough to keep everything from clothes to personal items to medicines, while the HURRING basket made of bamboo and placed near the bed is just perfect for extra cushions and blankets.
A bold wall for relics and hobbies
The wall behind the bed is painted in a bright, moody orange. It not only catches the eye, but also highlights the teachers's collection of books. There is enough space on the wall shelves for both educational and leisure literature, and even the souvenirs given by students.
