If Sweden were a taste, it would taste like HUVUDROLL meatballs. The classic meatballs were launched in 1985. Since then, they have become an icon on plates around the world. But eventually we realised we had to extend our meatball family with tasty alternatives, such as the mild-tasting chicken meatballs, the delicious veggie balls, and the sustainable plant balls that taste just like meat.

Potato pudding with Swedish meatballs
Recipe by Birute, IKEA co-worker.
Ingredients:
potatoes (according to the size of the baking dish)
1 onion
2 eggs
1 cup of warm milk
salt (to taste)
black pepper (to taste)
frozen HUVUDROLL meatballs
30 g of butter (and a little more just to grease the baking dish)
Step by step:
Grate the potatoes and onion, drain off the liquid.
Rinse the grates with warm milk, season with salt and pepper, add the eggs and mix well.
Butter a baking dish and pour in some of the grates.
Arrange your favourite meatballs (meat, chicken, veggie or plant) on top and add the remaining grates.
Bake at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. After this time, arrange the butter cut into small cubes on top of the pudding and put back into the oven with a fan until browned.
For a nicer crust, Birute recommends that you choose anything but a glass dish for baking.
Serve with sour cream or white sauce.
