In autumn and towards winter, begins the season of light, joy, and inspiration. It is time for coming together, looking for warmth and cosiness. Many people find that at their homes. Some of them, however, live far away from their loved ones, longing to hug and enjoy the magic of being at home.
To make everyone’s way home a little brighter and more celebratory, this year, we decided to light up hundreds of STRÅLA stars in public places that are bringing people to their warm and cosy homes. The whole period before Christmas, these stars are about to guide and inspire you in bus stations of Vilnius, Kaunas, and Klaipėda.
Klaipėda bus station: cosy atmosphere inside and out
With so many windows in Klaipėda bus station, we just couldn't leave them undecorated! To spread cosiness both ways, for all people inside the waiting area and for those who are still yet to come, we have created our own Milky Way - a group of glowing stars that can be seen from both sides of the windows. All stars are lit up with LED bulbs that consume up to 85% less energy and last 10 times longer than incandescent ones.
Kaunas bus station: twinkle, twinkle everywhere
Before the pandemic, Kaunas bus station was visited by an average of 10,000 people a day. This is a big number of people traveling home, thus we took our mission to light up their way even more seriously. The guiding stars appeared in all the possible areas, from the entrance and cashier lines to the waiting area, passageways and even the area for bus parcel services. You have to see this.
Vilnius bus station: meeting under the stars
Many people meet in Vilnius bus station day after day. Some of them seem to be in a hurry, some are patiently waiting for the right bus to come, while others try to shorten the wait time by looking down at their phones. In the festive season, we want people to raise their eyes up to the ceiling instead, because this is where the magic begins. Can you guess how many shiny STRÅLA stars are hanging right there? Don't rush to answer, better come and count them all before your cosy trip home.
