What‘s new in the IKEA Showroom: bright and sunny baby‘s room
Look at a cosy nursery our interior designer Anželika has furnished, imagining that it could be a great home for a new-born baby.
If you are curious to take a closer look at this room, visit IKEA Vilnius and head to the Showroom on the 2nd floor.
Always there
To give parents a place to sit and relax in their child’s room, our interior designer has placed a POÄNG armchair right next to the cot. It’s perfect for napping or feeding the baby and comes together with a lightweight BURVIK side table that allows having a bottle of water, a washcloth or any other things close at hand.
A nursing corner
Nursing can be challenging, that‘s true. But a well-planned corner can turn it into a child‘s play. SNIGLAR changing table with ÖNSKLIG storage baskets for pacifiers, baby clothes, nappies and wipes will help you reach what you need - and always keep one hand on the baby, who is quite busy looking at LÖVA bed canopies. We have attached one over the cot and one over the changing table as a protection from bright lighting.
Just like the ones for adults, only scaled down
GODISHUS furniture for the children‘s room is like a mini version of the parents‘ storage. The chest of drawers is handy for storing socks and bodysuits, while the clothes rail inside the wardrobe can hold jackets, overalls and other clothes that are still waiting for the baby to grow up.
Useful tip: keeping little clothes tidy and effortless to find is much easier with STUK boxes inside your drawers.
“The stylised black birch trees on the walls didn't just appear for fun. They contrast with the colour of the walls, attract the eye and encourage the little one to explore. Two playful TÖVÄDER lamps serve a similar purpose as they can switch between five different colours.”

Small solutions work miracles
Instead of standard cabinets or shelves that would clutter the already small space, Anželika has attached some wooden BEKVÄM racks to the wall. They take up very little space in the baby‘s room and are perfect for storing books, framed pictures or toys.
