IKEA for business: fully furnished apartments by the sea
When looking for a home to live in or to rent, people are more and more interested in the possibility of buying it fully furnished, since this eliminates a lot of worries for the buyer. There is no need to look for finishing materials, appliances, and furniture, which helps to save time, energy, and money. This is exactly why that we started cooperating with the real estate development company Realco.
About the project
Sventosios Vartai is one of the successful examples of our cooperation. It‘s a seaside project of low-rise houses where our business interior designers have furnished some of the apartments.
“In this seaside project, furnished apartments with carefully designed interior details were sold much faster than the unfurnished ones. Since many buyers chose this home for vacation, they wanted it to be functional, comfortable, thought out to the detail, yet not overloaded. In collaboration with IKEA interior designers, we managed to create interior that provides all the necessary functions and aesthetics. Some of the buyers admitted that they wouldn’t have installed such a thoughtful interior themselves, and even if they would, the costs would have been much higher.”

Nature-inspired interior
Interior solutions in this project were inspired by nature. The apartments are located on the seashore, surrounded with sedges and pines, therefore the interior is filled with earthy tones and sustainable solutions such as natural wood, bamboo, or recycled raw materials. We have also used carpets, curtains, cushions, blankets, and other textiles to add homely cosiness.
“Calm colours, natural materials, soft shapes, and functionality are key attributes of a holiday home. Instead of a sofa in the living room, it is better to choose a sofa-bed on which your guests could spend the night. A rectangular table could be replaced with a round one that accommodates more people. And when it comes to general lighting, it’s always better combined with some extra lamps for reading or other evening activities.”
