During the pandemic, one of the Jurgis ir Drakonas restaurants in Vilnius decided to update their self-service area where customers can take soft drinks, make coffee or tea, and pick up cutlery. Our business interior designers took this project from the first ideas to implementation.

About the project

One of the restaurant‘s requests was to have all colours and details of the interior in a classic, timeless style that matches to the rest of their space. The most important thing was to fit all the necessary equipment in a small space without losing its aesthetics.

After the renovation, the self-service area looks like home. It features a kitchen island, allowing access from all sides and convenient movement for both restaurant customers and employees. To bring more function and cosiness, there are some bamboo lamps above the island and different storage solutions around it, including closed cabinets to hide various items and decorative wall shelves for accessories and hanging plants.

“We have done renovations both with interior designers and on our own. Our conclusion: with the help of professionals, it is easier to avoid corrections that take extra time and money.”

“When furnishing or renovating a café or restaurant, one of the most important things is choosing durable materials that are easy to maintain. All fronts of the cabinets should be easy to clean, and the fabrics of the upholstered furniture should be removable, so that it’s easy to wash them or implement prompt interior updates. For a quick result with less investment, play with decorations, textiles, and lighting. Start with the walls, as they are the most visible to your visitors.”
