This week, we invite you to visit a vivid Dirmantai family in Vilnius. The family of five lives in a five-room apartment, and each of the brothers has a separate room. Unfortunately, during the renovation of their apartment, the room of the eldest brother remained untouched. The twelfth-grader Andrius is a very active young man who makes a video blog about fishing and has many other hobbies. Could he fit them all into a small room? IKEA interior designer Asta helped Andrius to find the answer.
Among all new activities we started using our homes for lately, our personal hobbies had to be fitted inside as well. The research shows that 38% of people in Lithuania now would like to create or improve a space at home, where they could pursue their personal interests. This is why our interior designer is here to share some ideas on how to set up one without significant cost and effort.
Our interior designers have furnished another space in the Showroom. Be our guest at the Kaunas city social service centre. Here, together with our interior designer Ūla and other IKEA co-workers, we continue to create a cosy temporary home for the families who yet don't feel safe at their own home. At the second stage of our makeovers, we have renovated three more family rooms, a space for leisure and a shared kitchen.

The autumn in the Vilnius store begins with another new setup. Our interior designer Alantė has furnished a studio bedroom for a young couple. She’s 25 and cannot imagine her life without music. He is a bit older, recently graduated from veterinary school and still interested in everything related to animals and nature. And this is their home. Have a look!
